eTwinning - FIRST ONLINE MEETING WITH STUDENTS AND TEACHERS

  This evening we have had the opportunity to meet some of the teachers and students we will be collaborating with in the project "Differences Bring Us Together". After playing a Kahoot! game with questions about the six countries involved, some of students introduced themselves. A great experience for us all!! Esta tarde hemos tenido la oportunidad de conocer a las profesoras y algunos de los estudiantes con los que estamos colaborando en el proyecto "Differences Bring Us Together". Después de jugar a un Kahoot! con preguntas sobre los seis países implicados, algunos de los estudiantes se presentaron al resto.

FIRST STEPS ON OUR PROJECT "DIFFERENCES BRING US TOGETHER"

  Some students have prepared their introductions to post on the e-Twinning space. They've had some fun creating their own avatar. Algunos alumnos/as del proyecto ya han preparado sus presentaciones para publicarlas en la plataforma europea e-Twinning. También se han divertido creando su propio avatar.

DIFFERENCES BRING US TOGETHER

  We are starting a new eTwinning project this year with our 4th of ESO students. There are six European countries involved: Turkey (founder), Italy (co-founder), Germany, Poland, Portugal and Spain. It is a known fact that a person belonging to one culture has always been curious about people from other cultures. Especially in our schools, many of our students have a limited life space, and most of them have no opportunity to go out of the places where they live and meet new people and cultures. So,  in our  project  "Differences bring us together",  students    will have a chance to  acquire new knowledge of the world and the people of another country (their culture, traditions, lifestyles, opinions, etc..)  and to  get to know new people and make new friendships.While getting involved in many types of activity, the students also will have an opportunity to  improve their English language skills  through  cooperation of ...

SHAMSIA HASSANI

Several students of 4 ESO have introduced the work of this Afghan graffiti artist to student of the first, second and third year of ESO. Their presentations have been followed with interest by all the participants in the project, which has been possible thanks to the help of the Philosophy Department, the Coeducation Programme and the pictures kindly lent by the IES La Merced in Jerez. Varios estudiantes de 4 de ESO han presentado el trabajo de esta grafitera afgana a el resto de alumnado de 1º, 2º y 3º de ESO. Su presentación ha sido seguida con interés por todos los participantes en el proyecto, lo que ha sido posible gracias a la colaboración del Departamento de Filosofía, el Programa de Coeducación y la amable cesión de imágenes por parte del IES La Merced de Jerez de la Frontera. HALLOWEEN

 This year, we have celebrated Halloween in a very special way. The library has been decorated and our students have been able to listen to frightening stories in there, some  of them were written by the students themselves. Este año hemos celebrado Halloween de una forma muy especial. La biblioteca ha sido ambientada con decoración típica de esta festividad anglosajona y nuestros alumnos/as han podido escuchar historias terroríficas allí, algunas de esas historias escritas por los propios alumnos.

WOMEN WRITER'S DAY - 15TH OCTOBER

Commemorating this international day, our library has been filled with images and quotes from some of the best known women writers in history.  Conmemorando este día internacional, nuestra biblioteca se ha llenado de imágenes y citas de algunas de las escritoras más conocidas de la historia.
