ERASMUS+ PREPARING THE FIRST EDITION OF THE SCHOOL'S SECOND HAND MARKET

Linked to the Erasmus+ goal of sustainability, the school has organised a second-hand clothes market to raise awareness about the pollution originated by the clothes we wear. The purpose of this activity is to make students conscious about the problem and give clothes a second chance.  Our German visitors have kindly helped us organise this event.

A Thursday full of activities

A whole day at school to share, learn, an enjoy.  Several have been the activities prepared for this first day of our Cultural Week. We began with a cooperative Gymkhana in which students from all levels and the German students had to collaborate to achieve a series of goals. After that, the students were shown a exposition at school about the Disasters of War, this time focusing on Gaza and the conflict which is killing people of all ages. Then, a debate in English with "Technology in the Classroom" as the topic to discuss. This debate is one of the objectives in our Erasmus+ project and the students have shown their ability at debating in the foreign language.

RUTA DEL BOQUERÓN

Today, linked to our objectives "Natural Heritage" and "Sustainability", our students and the German exchange students have walked along the beach in San Fernando, to know this wonderful natural space. As well as getting to know each other even better, the students have enjoyed the landscape, observed the flora and fauna of the area and they have also learnt about the importance of preserving and respecting a natural environment like this one, a legacy that must be kept for future generations.

CELEBRATING THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SCIENCE

This past week we have been celebrating the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with several different activities. Some students have watched films learning about the lives of interesting women who dedicated their time to science.  Some classes have been working with our language assistant, Catherine, about the women in the exposition held in the first corridor of the school.  There has been a quizz, for younger students about the posters in the corridor too. It has been an exciting week with a lot of things to learn about women scientists.
